Visit
Welcome to Highland Wildlife Park!
Our wildlife conservation charity has a bold vision: a world where nature is protected, valued and loved.
Highland Wildlife Park is a gateway to the natural world where people can experience nature, learn about the challenges facing wildlife and discover how we are working to save animals from extinction.
Please note:
Due to ongoing refurbishment, our visitor centre (shop/café) is currently closed. We have food vans offering a choice of hot and cold menu options, a stretch tent for shelter with limited seating and a pop up shop available as an alternative.
Don't forget to drive around our reserve before you leave to meet our elk, vicuna, bison and more! Please stay in your vehicle at all times and do not feed our animals – our keepers do that!
Thank you for your patience during this time!
We are open seven days a week (but closed on Christmas Day) and we recommend that everyone, apart from Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) members, should book tickets online in advance to save money and avoid disappointment.
Over the winter, snow and ice may mean having to keep our drive through areas closed for everyone's safety – please be careful when travelling and exploring the park on foot.
Dogs and other pets are not permitted, only registered assistance dogs and support animals that are accompanying their respective partner. If you wish to bring an assistance dog or support animal into the park please inform a member of our admissions team when you arrive. Be aware that access may be restricted to certain areas. Please note assistance dogs or support animals in training are not permitted to enter.
Tickets are limited and may sell out during school holidays and weekends – we recommend that you book your ticket at least two hours before your visit, unless you are a member of RZSS or their guest – see our membership page for more information.
Top tip!
Although we will always do our best to help visitors see as many of our animals as possible, they may well decide to go for a nap or some quiet time in a hidden area.
We recommend visiting different animals at different times of the day to give yourself the best chance of spotting them out and about.
