School visits

Education is at the heart of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS). We have engaged with over one million learners across both Highland Wildlife Park and our other site, Edinburgh Zoo.

From nursery to tertiary and beyond encompassing both formal and informal learning, our teams create and deliver unique experiences for learners and daily visitors, encouraging excitement and exploration though interactive learning programmes and interpretation.

As part of our charitable commitment to education we are delighted to offer our classes at a special reduced rate. This price gives you admission to the zoo. All bookings are subject to a minimum payment of £40.

You can bring as many adults as you wish for supervision during your visit to Highland Wildlife Park.

RZSS adult members are admitted free with proof of valid membership. You will still be required to pay education charges for children who are RZSS members. All children under 16 must be supervised at all times when in the park.

On arrival at Highland Wildlife Park

Please enter the park via the main entrance. Buses should park in the main coach park. This is free of charge and the driver is allowed free entry to the park.

You will have been given a meeting point and time for your education session, please ensure the entire group is there at the allotted time. As bookings are often full, please note that classes cannot be extended beyond the allocated time.

You can collect a copy of the free park map on arrival at the main entrance or can download one from our website.

Please ensure pupils wear suitable clothing such as flat, comfortable shoes and waterproof jackets.
